Delightful Reveal #84

What we did:

• Deleting huge amounts of code that was contributing to tech debt
• Finalized colors for the Rocky Mountain Ruby t-shirt!
• Started work with Ruby Central and am getting accustomed to their setup/mapping out the requests :D
• Set up another XO Ruby design book club. We’ll be reading The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron starting September 11.
• Wrote a lot of blog posts and got through a chunk of the Dev Roundtable backlog
• Redesigning the results page for A/B testing on emails and text messages
• Scheduled so many social media posts to promote XO Ruby! Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, here we come!

What we’re struggling with:

• Branding/being creative
• Very siloed week
• How much my hand hurts after writing my daily morning pages +
• The quick temperature change from 80 to 60 in two weeks
• Kiln deadlines and clay dry times
• Social media marketing always takes more time than you think it will

What we’re buying:

• My first fountain pen 🖋️
• Liquid underglazes so I have a starting palette before making a color wheel of combos following Caitie North’s method
• A bunch of canvas
• Costume pieces for my Furiosa, from Mad Max: Fury road costume

What we’re celebrating:

• Partner coming home from a trip :)
• Fall
• Therapy
• First Artist Date™️
• Back to back volleyball days, so tired but so happy
• Lots of cooking at home this week: homemade avgolemono sauce on flounder with some delicious lima beans and feta cheese, sweet corn ice cream, chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes
