Delightful Reveal #77
A bi-weekly update on all things Flagrant
“in the peanut butter castle, it is I” - overheard at Flagrant
What we did:
- Setup configurable open graph images, titles, and descriptions on the Training Tracking marketing pages
- Found a way to compare two “indicators”, each comprising three separate sets of four dimensions/values. Hausdorff distance, common table expressions, and cross joins to the rescue!
- Created a report showing project workforce hours, per contractor, coming from Section 3 workers.
- Created a SliderComponent combining a number input with a range input
- Completed a base set of illustrations for a mDL application
- Designs for data-dense screens in a mobile application. Simplifying and trimming back is tough when you have huge check lists, summaries, math, expand/collapse, statuses to communicate, and consent all rolled into a single flow
- Designed assessment and scoring for student leveling for a learning-to-read application used in classrooms
- Set up a dark mode version of a mobile app color palette using a new color system
- Had a lovely first session of the Design of Everyday Things book club we’re running
- Wrapping up RailsConf signage and swag
- Started writing a blog post about the RailsConf 2025 designs and theme
- Worked on creating a visual case study for RailsConf 2025
- Began sketching ideas for a Flagrant selfie wall
- Redesign a ui to improve the experience for campaign managers/candidates so that they have the most useful donor information prepared while they are doing call time for each individual donor on a list
- Building giant mushrooms and insects out of cardboard, paper maché-ing them and painting panels for a photobooth
